Busy These Days...
I've got a few cool projects on the go right now (which hopefully I can share here soon). Unfortunately, they're eating up a lot of my spare time, and I haven't been able to post here as much as I'd like. So as usual, I'll buy some time by posting more head studies!
First one is from life, 2 hours, 8x10". Second one's a study after Morgan Weistling.

real nice paintings. Love the second one, full of breath in the paint. he seemed to have a long story to tell even at such young age. =]
I love Morgan Weistling. You did a good job too. Thats who I thought of when I saw this one. Do you have his DVD?
Marco, both are nice, but actually prefer yours more than the study . . . great work!
What's up Marco? Been awhile since I posted but glad to be here as usual. Lovely work by the way. Always impressed with your studies.
That Weistling study is really nice. Cool that you are still cranking out the oils.
pretty amazing paintings here, how long did they take? hey thanks for the info on the seegmiller book!
beautiful portrait paintings here! you really do have a stellar blog, cheers!
Thanks guys,
Paul - Yeah, Morgan is one of my favourite living fine art painters. His DVD was very instrumental in guiding me in a good direction of learning. He's got another one coming out, which I've pre-ordered as well.
Aaron - Thanks! The study from life was 2 hours infront of the model. The Weistling study was about 4-5 hours over two sittings.
Very nicely done! I see the improvement in your work and it is just amazing!
Can I add my 2 cents in? Lovely! I'm doing two portrait commissions now and will use these as inspiration to keep me loose.
Really beautiful work. Enjoyed the Demo you posted for the Tarzan layouts
Simply marvelous works here,Marco! I'm just speechless.
