Tarzan Environment Sketches...and Demo!

This week's Drawergeeks is Tarzan. I felt like doing concept/visdev type sketches of environments that could exist in a Tarzan film (without copying Disney, hopefully). Also, there have been some great demos hitting blogs recently (check out Mark's, Todd's, and Ryan's, and Joe's). I didn't do a cool video like them, but I did save the painting in stages as I worked on it, and included some of my thoughts on the process. Maybe I'll do a video soon!

Hey man
Thanks for comment, glad you liked the piece. I havn't gotten too much positive feedback on it from people I've shown it too (although, most people I've shown it to so far arn't particularly artisticly inclined), but i'm glad you were able to see what I was going for.
Your stuff looks good. Nice demo too, I picked up a few pointers, thanks for that.

Cool sketches Marco. Its really fun seeing how people develop their work. I love sketching small as well; most of my best paintings start out as tiny thumbnails (1”x ½”.)

Really appreciate the post and demo. Great environments on your Tarzan submission to DrawerGeeks. Things like this really teach an aspiring artist a lot.
