More Life Heads

It's funny, doing that longer portrait painting (below) has made certain things a little clearer when doing these shorter (2.5 hour) life studies. Further proof that long studies really inform the shorter ones. These are from the past three weeks.

Very nice, Marco. Have you seen the Jeremy Lipkin DVD?

Thanks guys,
David - Yes, I pre-ordered that DVD, out of sheer excitement to see one of my favourite masters at work. I was actually a little disappointed with its production though. I wish he verbalized his thoughts a bit more. I found it very difficult to learn from. The painting is really nice though.

the middle portrait is exceptionally good. the values really pull the composition together and transform this "study" into a "painting".
nicely done!
