Christmas Oil Santa
This is an 11x14 painting which I am donating to my parents' annual Christmas party. They do a raffle for charity, and I always donate some sort of painting. So this is my contribution for this year. I've had to look at this painting for the past two weeks, and I absolutely can't stand it anymore. But I think I remember liking it as I worked on it.
Happy holidays everyone - see you in '08!

Wow! This is fantastic. I really like the frame you chose for it.
Happy holidays!
Nice job! It has a nice sense of warmth to it :)
hehe - the frame is probably the best part. At least whoever ends up with the painting can re-use the frame :)
Thanks guys!

Hey Luciano - thanks! Glad you found me. I'm gonna go check out your blog now.
To answer your question, my digital stuff is 100% photoshop. I think what contributes to the look of them (for better or worse) is that I don't use layers, and I almost always use harder-edged brushes with a pressure sensative tablet. Sometimes I apply texture to the brushes to get closer to that traditional look on canvas.
I don't know why you don't like it.. I will love to have it in my apartment.. the small houses are superb!!..
Wonderful job, for a wonderful cause. In keeping with the holiday spirit.
Wow Marco its been a while since I checked the blog and I am glad I returned. Greatness!
Merry Christmas Marco !
Amazing! Really amazing work!
Congratulations!
