Some Figures

Took last month off life drawing...back this week. Felt a little more recharged, actually. Sometimes time off helps.

Great drawings. You've made me feel guilty about not going to life drawing since I left school.

It's good to see some of your traditional paintings as well.

Thanks guys. Anders - I definitely haven't dropped the tablet PC! It's just that sometimes, if I paint TOO much, I forget what it's like to draw in a linear fashion. Despite their inherent similarities, I find drawing and painting require different kinds of thinking. I'm trying to keep both on par with each other.

These really make me want to paint from life again soon. There's something meditative about the process of working from something in front of you. Making things up is more cathartic. Both are my therapy. I'm inspired to post one of the live ones now.

Great job on the animal portraits in the previous post too. Right away they made me laugh. I was supposed to, right?

Oh these are lovely Marco! Makes me want to start right now, except I'd have to look in the mirror for the model and that's just freaky.
