Happy New Year! Things have settled back down, and I'm glad to get back into the blog ring. This is a Christmas gift I made for two of my younger cousins. They both like this particular story, which originally has no illustrations. I illustrated it for them, featuring 10 different animals holding each other up on pieces of string. Medium is watercolour (the string itself is real). The book is bound so that it can fold out, revealing the whole chain. My cousins really liked it, which made me happy!

Thats a really good idea, i made my friend chrismas gift also. Nothing is better than gifts you make yourself, plus no one can have the same thing they have which makes it even better.

Marco - this is by far some of the best stuff posted here .The style is really cool and very illustrative .Each of these is really well done and shows the fun you had designing them .My favorite is the cow ...and the elephant...and the dog .Great fun altogether .They must have loved this .

This is such a cool concept. How did you get these printed on the long, fold out paper? An plans for a series of these?
