BIG Plein Air Post
Okay, here's the breakdown:
1) 12x16" board of thumbnails done up at the cottage. Oil on masonite. A good friend of mine was there, and wanted to buy it...so I sold it to him for 20 bucks :)
2) A selection of thumbnails from a recent camping trip. Oil on masonite.
3) There's a good story behind this one. Last weekend I had the privilege of meeting the one and only Jason Seiler at the Comic Con here in Toronto! We met up on Sunday morning to do some plein air painting. Jason didn't have any equipment with him, so I set up my pochade box, and we basically drew an imaginary line down the middle of it. Jason worked on one side, and I worked on the other side, sharing the palette and paint, and we had two boards propped up side by side. We were basically painting shoulder-to-shoulder the whole time. FUNNY! I wish we had a photo of it. Anyway, this was my painting. I got to keep Jason's painting because he had no way of getting it back home. Maybe I can get him to post his once I e-mail it to him.
4) Action shot, painting the cliffs at sunset. Light's moving REAL quick here. I was painting faster than Usain Bolt.
