Gone Painting ... With Scott Christensen!
I've been looking forward to this for months. Tomorrow I'll be jumping on a plane to attend Scott Christensen's 10-day plein air painting workshop. Scott's work has always stood out to me as being very honest and powerful, and his DVDs show that he's also an effective and humble teacher. So when I decided to take a workshop this year, it was an easy choice to make. I can't wait to be out there painting and learning alongside this master!
And to provide the obligatory image to accompany this post, above is a plein air painting of mine of a church just down the street from where I live. It was 2 hours, 9x12" oil on masonite.
See you when I get back!

very cool blog you've got. like your sense of color and mood in your paintings.
The lighting is beautiful, probably because it's a plein air painting and nature is awesome! Plus you're a great painter.
Hope the workshop is enlightening, have fun!
