I drive by a small forest every morning on my way to work. Always have been intrigued by how abstract, yet still completely "readable" it is at a quick glance. This speed sketch is an effort to recall the scene from memory today during lunch.
this is awesome!! and you just did it during lunch!! from what you remembered.. wow! Well in fact I would love to drive through that picture everyday in my way to work!! (although I don't know if I would ever get to work, it looks so nice!) :D
Cool Marco. I like the way you attempted to relay the dense interweaving branches. A good point as well, I often forget to enjoy the beauty that sits just outside of my office windows.

Hey thanks guys. Jason, it's from memory, yes, but if I were to compare this to the real scene that I saw, there would be significant differences. But what (hopefully) is the same is the feeling of the scene. That's what I was after, anyway. I'll see how accurate I was on Monday when I drive by this again :) Scott Christensen really helped me with this kind of thing.

Thats a good point. Something things when analysed are very abstract yet we recognise them instantly. I think you captured it well!
